Cooperation with SIA Datakom will strengthen IT competencies of Alberta College students

This post announces the signing of a cooperation agreement between Datakom and Alberta College.

Alberta College Director Vita Vežanova and Datakom Board Member Jānis Čupriks have signed a cooperation agreement between the two organizations. The agreement provides internship opportunities for college students, participation of Datakom specialists in guest lectures, workshops, and other study events, as well as involvement in reviewing IT students’ qualification papers and serving on state examination commissions. In addition, employees of the partner company and their children will have the opportunity to study at Alberta College with a 20% discount on tuition fees.

Datakom is one of the most experienced IT companies in Latvia, founded in 1994. Over the years, it has developed many innovative solutions, established partnerships with leading global IT infrastructure manufacturers, and successfully addressed numerous IT challenges for companies.

“Cooperation with Datakom experts will allow our students to gain both up-to-date theoretical knowledge and invaluable practical skills that will be essential in their professional careers. We care about the achievements of our graduates, which is why we involve top-level professionals in the study process,” said College Director Vita Vežanova.

“We understand current industry trends, while educational institutions have the resources and knowledge to deliver them to future graduates. This initiative will connect theoretical knowledge with the practical skills that are currently required in the labor market. We are pleased and feel socially responsible to start this project and hope for mutual contribution to society’s education,” said Datakom Board Member Jānis Čupriks.

Alberta College was founded in 2001 and is a state-accredited higher education institution offering first-level professional higher education programs in various fields that are in demand in the labor market.
